Clara’s Los Angeles

Presented at RECAT’s NOW Festival Clara’s Los Angeles was both a live performance piece and later was screened at various film festivals including the San Diego Latino Film Festival. A 1920’s wardrobe mistress finds herself in Los Angeles in 2010 and the last thing she remembered was dancing in a Charleston competition at the Ambassador hotel in 1926. Somehow her dancing catapulted her to a new century and has to navigate this strange foreign
world.
